چکیده
Sebum is a well-recognised protection of the skin and minor changes on its composition quantity impact homeostasis. Over production induces microbiota dysbiosis in favor C. acnes proliferation leading to homeostasis dysbalance. Mangifera indica extract was traditionnaly used folk medicine for antibacterial antioxidant properties. In vitro studies demonstrated that main phytomarker identified, mangiferin, potent inhibitor agent lipogenesis. regulation evaluated sebocytes derived from iPS African, Asian Caucasian donors then by analyzing volume sebaceous glands explants. Genes expression analysis also performed sebocytes. Then molecular docking done between mangiferin PPARγ. The clinical were conducted 3 cohorts representative skins. Biometric analyses included measurement sebum level, quantification porphyrins. Skin New Generation Sequencing techniques. Inhibition lipase activity assessed vitro. lipogenesis evidenced reduced. Global genes revealed FDFT1, PPARG DGAT2 expressions down-regulated. Mangiferin interaction with confirmed docking. previous results reduction. showed an inhibition growth it through reduction porphyrin. proportions two major genera (Staphylococcus Acinetobacter) different placebo application whereas extract, maintained. M. proved global efficacy all types normalization PPAR pathway. conduct healthier better complexion.

Skin to skin care:heat balance.
Skin to skin care has been practised in primitive and high technology cultures for body temperature preservation in neonates. Regional skin temperature and heat flow was measured in moderately hypothermic term neonates to quantitate the heat transfer occurring during one hour of skin to skin care. Nine healthy newborns with a mean rectal temperature of 36.3 degrees C were placed skin to skin on...
متن کاملTargeting the Redox Balance in Inflammatory Skin Conditions
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) can be both beneficial and deleterious. Under normal physiological conditions, ROS production is tightly regulated, and ROS participate in both pathogen defense and cellular signaling. However, insufficient ROS detoxification or ROS overproduction generates oxidative stress, resulting in cellular damage. Oxidative stress has been linked to various inflammatory dise...
متن کاملSebum, inflammasomes and the skin: current concepts and future perspective.
Increasing evidence has identified ultraviolet radiation (UVR) as the skins most potent mutagen as over exposure results in sunburn, inflammation and DNA damage, thus contributing to a photo-ageing phenotype and possibly skin carcinogenesis. The lipid-rich sebum secreted onto the surface of the skin plays an important physiological role in protecting the skin against external challenges. When s...
متن کاملSome interrelations between sebum, sweat and the skin surface.
The recent work of Kligman and Shelley (1) does much to advance our concepts of the physiology of sebaccous secretion. This paper presents several experimental observations that intend to further modify these concepts. The composition of scbum has been thoroughly explored. From an examination of its approximate composition, one would expect sebum to emulsify water as the internal phase of a wat...
متن کاملProtecting the skin during thyroidectomy.
In this note we describe the standard technical maneuver used in our department to protect the skin during thyroidectomy in order to get the best aesthetic result. We use surgical gloves to protect the skin during these operations to reduce the negative impact of thermal trauma and mechanical retractors and energy delivery devices at the edges of the skin incised. This practice is effective, in...
